Club Member Photo Contest Winners Gallery
The Lakes Region Camera Club fosters a competitive spirit among its members by encouraging participation in photographic competitions at the regional and national level. Members submit work in a variety of categories — landscapes, portraiture, macro, wildlife, and street photography among them — to organizations such as the Photographic Society of America (PSA) and the New England Camera Club Council. These competitions provide a structured way to measure progress, receive feedback from experienced judges, and set personal benchmarks for improvement.
Beyond the recognition that comes with placements and awards, members find that the discipline of preparing competition entries sharpens their technical and artistic skills. Selecting an image for submission requires honest self-evaluation — considering composition, exposure, subject matter, and the story an image tells. Many members have found that the habits developed through competition carry over into their everyday photography, raising the overall quality of work presented at club meetings and exhibitions.
We are proud to present this gallery of our members achievements,
